have always had the desire to understand the people around me. Openness and genuine interest have also shaped my professional path. As a social researcher, I conducted and analyzed interviews for many years, focusing on conflicts, dilemmas, and challenges within organizations. Through this, I learned the transformative power of active listening. This insight led me to make the transition from science to therapy.
My Experience
For over ten years, I have been working therapeutically, initially with family and couple conflicts at the Wittener Institute for Family Businesses. During this time, I realized that many problems stem from communication barriers and are often more effectively resolved within social systems rather than in individual therapy.
Alongside my systemic perspective, hypnotherapy has become an increasingly important part of my work. Speaking can also bring about profound changes – just as active listening can.
Today, I combine both approaches in my work. It is important to me to respond individually to the needs of my clients. I place great value on ensuring that standardized processes, tests, or tools do not take center stage. Instead, I prioritize a dialogue on equal footing, working together with my clients to discover strengths, new perspectives, and actionable solutions. And last but not least, I believe that humor has a healing effect – because rarely does a smile have so much power to bring about change.
