About me

Originally from Oregon, my professional experience includes seven years in New Mexico working with children and families, and more recently six years in New York City working with adults from diverse cultures, gender expressions and sexual orientations. Because I believe that therapy is not “one size fits all,” I tailor sessions to meet each client’s needs. I work from an intersectional lens and am thoughtful of the ways that race, class, gender, and sexuality inform a person's unique lived experience. I take an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing psychodynamic, Positive Psychology, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and body psychotherapy.

My approach

Life can be challenging. At times we may feel off balance, looking for the path out of the difficulties we are facing and forgetting our strengths. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to heal these parts of ourselves that feel broken, unmanageable, and overwhelming. Whether it be anxiety, a loss of enthusiasm for life, or relationship issues - you do not have to go through it alone. I have witnessed and experienced how a safe space and a non-judgemental therapeutic relationship can produce healing that facilitates change. In our work together, we will explore stories held in the body, heart and mind that may be holding you in the grips of unhealthy patterns or relationship dynamics. Most importantly, I will shine a light on your strengths, reminding you of what already lies within you and how to keep it on the surface. Seeking therapy can be a brave and important step towards realizing resilience, purpose, and a better quality of life. I look forward to hearing from you.
