Trained as a transpersonal psychotherapist in San Francisco, California, I have practiced a blend of existential, humanistic, and relational therapy, Dzogchen, harm reduction therapy (motivational interviewing) for working with addiction, gamification of the transformation process, and support for radical self-acceptance since 2006.
I initially studied to be a therapist because I was interested in better understanding my own transpersonal experiences. Over time, this curiosity has only grown as I have gotten to know others' stories and unique experiences, and how they relate to our innate gifts of awareness, intuitive capacities, and spiritual/ personal evolution.
I used to think that manifestation was a matter of thinking up my best life and applying mantras. Now I see that it is about following each unfolding turn, deepening into the timeline that most resonates with my higher self. Building a lifestyle based in curiosity and gathering allies in realms seen and unseen can help activate a bridge that transports us to a new state of Being, where the drips of clarity that come when we least expect them show us the next step on our unfolding life path.
Through ongoing self-inquiry, I can help you gain confidence in your innate ability to heal from trauma, embody present awareness, and listen to your body, emotions, dreams and inner compass so that you are aligned in living from your truth.
Stress, burnout, lack of motivation, or the need to heal from difficult experiences can manifest as addiction, relationship challenges, or anxiety. Each offers a doorway to explore deeper patterns in how you relate to yourself. In therapy, we can heal PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem and spiritual concerns, and your relationship with addictive processes.
I am a Meditation practitioner and instructor (applied nondual awareness), and sessions with me tend to blend contemplative self-inquiry (for example, guided somatic inquiry, visualization, or identifying inner parts and bringing them into conversation with one another) with supportive warmth, compassion, and empathy.
We can move back and forth between an intellectual understanding and experiential therapy, naming your "felt experience" as we address your questions and your goals. We can also begin to explore an individually tailored map for letting go of old residue, naming allies, and approaching your situation from a new paradigm.
Our first session will be all about building rapport and getting to know your biggest motivation for seeking help at this time. You will have a chance to explain your current situation and make sure we are on the same page in understanding the primary issues, questions, and desire for change in your current life station.
