My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), drawing on hypnotherapy and parts work as the work develops. Therapy is structured and relationally focused, examining both what happens within a person and what happens between people.
Challenges I help with include:
• Relationship issues and difficulties
• Attachment issues, including anxious, avoidant, and disorganised patterns of relating to others — these are sometimes called ‘commitment issues’ or ‘abandonment issues’
• Low self-confidence and low self-esteem
• Anxiety and stress
• Difficulty with strong emotions, including anger and jealousy
• Developmental and childhood trauma, including the impact of childhood abuse and neglect
I work with couples experiencing:
• Recurring conflict and communication breakdowns
• Infidelity, betrayal, and attachment injuries
• Emotional distance and attachment-based disconnection
• Intense relational emotions such as anger, jealousy, fear, loneliness, or shutdown
Initial consultations are 20 minutes and explore whether this work is appropriate for your situation. If you are seeking couples therapy, each partner should book a separate consultation call.
