I completed my Master’s degree in Art Therapy at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2018. I then relocated to Brussels, Belgium, and have since worked with diverse populations across the United States, Taiwan, and Belgium.
For me, art has long been a daily detox - an essential form of self-expression and healing. One of my favorite ways to create is through collage. I love searching for old magazines and books at Pêle-Mêle in Brussels, cutting out images, and assembling them into something new. The process of selecting materials and creating art has been personally transformative, and I’ve witnessed its profound therapeutic effects on my clients.
Outside of my clinical practice, I design and facilitate art therapy-based workshops for artists and staff within EU institutions to foster creativity, empowerment, and emotional well-being.
I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life. As an art therapist, I use a person-centered approach and encourage clients to engage in art-making as a way to share their stories, shape their narratives, and work toward their goals. I strive to understand each person by taking their cultural background, language, and lived experiences into account, allowing me to listen with sensitivity and presence.
