I’m a clinical psychologist with a master's degree from Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and a bachelor’s in psychology from Ankara University. My path into psychology was shaped by a deep curiosity about how personal experiences shape our emotional lives.
I have worked with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, both in Turkey and Belgium, and have experience with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, psychosomatic symptoms, and emotional difficulties related to early life experiences. My clinical journey has taken me through internships in LGBTQI+ mental health centers, child development projects, and academic research on family socialization and trauma. I currently offer therapy in Turkish, English, and French. I strive to create a space where each person feels respected, heard, and supported. I bring a culturally sensitive perspective to the session, shaped by my own experience living and training across different countries and contexts.
I work primarily from a schema therapy framework, a model that helps us understand how early emotional experiences can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others today. It’s a powerful way to uncover the “why” behind recurring emotional patterns — and to create room for change.
Alongside schema therapy, I also integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with emotional regulation, stress management, and behavioral shifts. My style is relational and collaborative.
