About me

Hello there, My name is Andrei, and for the past seven years I have been supporting people in developing more meaningful and fulfilling lives. I began my journey in Brazil, where I completed my first trainings, became licensed, and had long-term supervision in ACT.Venertheless, I explored other approaches such as Gestalt Therapy and Family Systemic Therapy, until I finally found myself in ACT. During COVID, I felt a strong urge to explore new horizons and decided to move abroad. As often happens in life, my plans did not unfold exactly as expected. What initially brought frustration gradually became an invitation to strengthen flexibility, reconnect with my values, and grow in ways I had not anticipated. Since 2021, I have been living in Hungary, where I completed a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology and am now a PhD candidate at Eötvös Loránd University. Along the way, I have deepened my work with acceptance-based approaches, compassion, and schema therapy. Today, I support clients both in person and online in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Helping people navigate life’s challenges and discover creative, healthy ways of responding to them is not just my profession, but one of my core values. I aim to offer support not from the distant position of someone who simply “has the answers,” but from a grounded, human place of presence, collaboration, and respect. I look forward to connecting with you!

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
Schema therapyRecommended for those who want to break out of negative patterns or "schemas" that they developed early in life and keep repeating.
A successful therapy process begins with a solid relationship between therapist and client. Because of that, I dedicate the necessary time and care to truly get to know you: your life story, the challenges you are currently facing, and the strategies you have already tried. All of this is grounded in genuine, empathetic presence. If you have never tried therapy before, you might imagine a very static therapist with a neutral face, quietly taking notes. That is not my style. I prefer to respond authentically and be fully present in the room with you. My work often focuses on the present moment and your current life struggles, while also understanding them within your broader life context. Rather than labeling thoughts, emotions, or behaviors as “problematic,” I am interested in understanding what function they serve in your life. What are they protecting? What are they trying to solve? Many people come to therapy already aware of their patterns and difficulties, yet feeling stuck when it comes to real change. Insight is important, but it is often not enough on its own. In our work together, I combine open-hearted presence with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, FAP, and Schema Therapy to help you develop personalized and practical ways of responding to life’s challenges. Therapy becomes a space where we can experiment with new possibilities, strengthen flexibility, and move toward what truly matters to you.
