International couple therapy! With a multinational background, my warm and positive attitude and a profound training record I help couples come out of their crises stronger than ever.
Born into an intercultural marriage and growing up in a humanist, politically engaged surrounding in two countries, my upbringing heavily influenced both my professional path and my work environment. With teachers, doctors and pastors as my parents and grandparents, this keen interest in and love for humankind constantly surrounded me and is a large part of who I've become today. Guiding others to find their peace - within and around themselves - has become the core symbol and essence of my work.
I take into account your sociopolitical and human rights context as this can have a large impact on your individual mental well-being as well as the interpersonal conflict that brought you here. I am passionate about mental health (individual peace) as well as politics (societal peace) and have professionalized in both of them over the years.
I would describe my personal and professional self as sex-positive. To me this means I see sexuality as something highly individual, and that everyone needs to figure out their own sexual identity and preferences for themselves. To me, everything that is consensual and enjoyed can be good, regardless of what societal norms tell us.
I identify as bi-national and as member of the LGBTQIA+ community and can help you with related issues.

Happy relationships let us thrive and can protect our mental and physical wellbeing. A strong, balanced partnership between parents also gives your children a solid basis for security and love, thus positively impacting your extended environment. On the other hand, fights with our significant other are painful and, if they go on for too long, can do serious damage to our health.
It's perfectly normal that after time, you get stuck in your negative cycles of interaction, with seemingly no way out. Let me help you find that way. I will be your interpreter, helping you to understand each other better and to find your shared language again.
Every person and each couple are unique. There is no one-size-fits-all. I tailor my work with you for your individual needs and integrate several methods, all of which are based on my philosophy and views. At the center of my working is an attachment-based approach, emotionally focused therapy (EFT) by Sue Johnson to which I add elements of other interventions such as solution-focused tools, or exercises from the psychobiological model (Stan Tatkin), the developmental model (Bader and Pearson), the Gottman-Method etc.
I create a warm, safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and humorous atmosphere in my practice. My strength lies in the unconditional acceptance of others. Every thought is allowed and every emotion is valid. Only through honesty to yourself and your partner can we start working on the change process you are truly looking for.
