I’m Jennifer, an integrative psychotherapist offering trauma-informed support. I work collaboratively at your pace to help you feel steadier and more like yourself. Availability is flexible, feel free to message to book.
I’m Jennifer, an integrative psychotherapist originally from Canada and now based in the UK. I work mainly online and support people who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, emotionally stuck, or simply not quite themselves anymore. I aim to offer therapy that feels human, grounded, and collaborative rather than clinical or intimidating. Clients often describe my style as authentic, honest, and curious.
My work is trauma-informed and neuro-affirming. I have a strong understanding of neurodivergence and regularly support clients navigating ADHD, autism, masking fatigue, sensory overwhelm, and chronic stress. At the same time, I warmly welcome people from all walks of life. Therapy with me is not about fitting into labels. It is about understanding your individual experience and finding ways forward that genuinely fit you.
Before training as a therapist, I studied music, and creativity still shapes how I work. I am interested in meaning, pattern, metaphor, and the ways our inner worlds communicate when words feel hard to find. I often adapt how I explain things to suit each client, whether through imagery, storytelling, history, nature, or whatever resonates most with you.
Clients often tell me they feel at ease with me fairly quickly. I do not rush, diagnose, or try to “fix” you. We work at your pace and focus on what actually helps. Where useful, I often provide brief session summaries after appointments so you do not have to hold everything in your memory and can reflect between sessions.
Alongside anxiety, trauma, burnout, and identity exploration, I also support clients navigating life transitions, including experiences such as perimenopause, which can impact emotional wellbeing and sense of self in ways that are often overlooked or misunderstood.
Outside the therapy room, I am a cat person with two sensitive rescue cats who keep life interesting and humbling. I value honesty and warmth over polish, and I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real relationship rather than a performance. I have a long-standing dream of one day living in the woods and healing others through my work. Realistically, I am often just walking through nature listening to history podcasts, but the intention is there.
My availability is more flexible than it appears here. If the slots you see don’t work for you, please don’t hesitate to message me. I’ll do my best to find a time that fits your schedule.
I am a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming therapist who works in a warm, flexible, and practical way. We work collaboratively, at your pace, to help you feel steadier, clearer, and more connected to yourself without pressure or judgement.
I work integratively, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what suits you best. My aim is always to adapt therapy to the individual rather than expecting you to adapt to therapy.
I have over three years of experience working as an integrative psychotherapist across private practice, community services, and online therapy settings. I work mainly with adults who are thoughtful, reflective, and often carrying more than they let on. Many clients come to therapy with anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity questions, or a quiet sense of feeling stuck or disconnected.
Across my work, I place strong emphasis on accessibility, ethics, and genuine human connection. Clients often tell me they feel safe, understood, and able to think more clearly about themselves and their lives.
Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (Level 7) I trained as an integrative psychotherapist, learning to combine different therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. My training had a strong focus on trauma-informed practice, neurodiversity, ethics, and working at a client’s pace rather than applying rigid models.
Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills This training grounded me in empathic listening, relational work, and ethical practice, forming the foundation for how I show up with clients attentive, respectful, and collaborative.
BA (Hons) Music Practice Before retraining as a therapist, I studied music. This background continues to influence my work, particularly in how I use metaphor, imagery, and creative thinking to help clients explore feelings when words feel limited or overwhelming.
