I have a MSc. Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA) University and completed my Post-Graduation at Serviço de Apoio Psicológico e Psicoterapia (SAPP), where I learned a Psychotherapy Model that combines the Psychoanalytical Model, with Carl Roger's Client-Centered therapy, the Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy.
After successfully completing this Post-Graduation with the maximum grade ("Muito Bom com Distinção"), I was invited to stay and work at SAPP, which I gratefully did. Lastly, I studied and completed a Second Master's Degree (MSc.) in Palliative Care (2018), at the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP), which included a 300-hour Internship at one of the most prestigious Hospitals in Portugal - The Hospital da Luz (Lisbon). During my Internship, I have had the chance to work in an interdisciplinary team and choose a topic for further research. I chose the Reminiscence Therapy (RT), Personal Legacy Therapy and Max Harvey Chochinov's Dignity Therapy.
In 2018, I was invited to work at Hospital da Luz (Lisbon), working, in-person, as a Psycho-Oncologist.
Due to the fact that I am the Son of a Portuguese Ambassador, I have had the opportunity to live and study in Switzerland (Collège du Léman) and 6 years later, at the European School in Belgium, for 4 years. As such, I studied all of Primary School in French, and, upon my return to Portugal, switched to the English language (at St. Dominic’s School and St. Julian’s School) - where I completed my International Baccalaureate (IB). I have a Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE; level C2), awarded by the University of Cambridge and a Diploma Approfondi de Langue Française (DALF; level C1), awarded by Alliance Française. Both awarded in 2013.
Now looking forward to expand my professional activity through Videoconferences, in other countries and work with a 27-inch iMac high 5K-resolution display for optimal visual and sound quality.
