As a Clinical Psychologist, University Professor, and behavioral scientist, I combine clinical expertise with internationally-recognised leadership in clinical and health psychology and behavioral medicine.
I’m a PhD-level Clinical and Health Psychologist and therapist (international license), specialist in Behavioral Medicine, with over 10 years of experience in psychological therapy and clinical research.
As a leader in international clinical research and clinical supervision, I offer evidence-based, structured, and empathetic care. I specialise in CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and compassion-based interventions, helping clients manage psychological distress (e.g., anxiety, depression), chronic conditions (e.g., IBS, cancer), life transitions, and to live better even when facing challenges.

Personal and professional experience with Scandinavian and Southern European cultures (Portuguese and Swedish family and residence backgrounds). 12+ year background of working and interacting internationally and cross-culturally, as a clinician, scientist, and professor.
I help clients to cope with life’s struggles and transitions, physical and emotional symptoms, and to break free from unhelpful patterns like avoidance, self-criticism, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm. I guide them to develop skills related to psychological flexibility, by learning how to face difficulties without getting stuck in them, so they can engage with life in a fulfilling, mindful, and self-empowered way.
