I am a LGBT+, immigrant and brazillian Psychologist who graduated at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, got my Master’s at the Universidade do Minho, and began my PhD in Psychology at the University of Porto.
Alongside my clinical practice, I also research contemporary work and mental health with Fiocruz, in Brasil. This helps me see each person not just as an individual, but as a complex biopsychosocial being.
My clinical practice is grounded in a collaborative, empathetic, and ethical approach, integrating social, cultural, economic, and geopolitical perspectives into each person’s unique context.
I rely on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as my main approach, but I am also committed to expanding my horizons by integrating insights from other psychological fields, toward a transdisciplinary clinical practice that adapts to each client’s needs and our therapeutic relationship.
My commitment is to active listening, shared decision-making, and a deep understanding of the realities that shape each client’s experience.
I strongly believe that as we work together in therapy, you can become an active agent of change in your own life, living with meaning, and developing strength, self-compassion, and acceptance in the face of pain and suffering of any kind.
