My approach is humanistic, hollistic and integrative. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and third wave methods like schema and ACT. My practice is based on a safe and strong therapeutic alliance, where we work in collaboration to promote resilience. In order to do that i use interventions from different schools of psychotherapy depending on the individuals needs and preferences.
Rather than focusing on the past, the CBT Approach is more pragmatic, it takes the here and now into account with the individuals experience in the present moment. It does provide the individual with a tool box for difficulties in life. A psychodynamic perspective can be useful in addition to explore underlying conflicts and tension that build up dysfunctional behaviour. In cases of blocades i am using Embodiment and Yoga driven techniques because sometimes we can not talk ourselves out on a cognitive level.
I can help with self-compassion practice & self-esteem tools, loud inner critic, processing life transitions, chronic illness and relationship issues.
Growing up in Rhine land I learned what it means to be interested in one another which is part of the open minded and curious culture of this area in Germany.
I strongly believe in our need for individual expression next to the feeling of belonging, being seen. This is why I want to hold a safe space for my clients to express themselves. I am interested in how your identity and lived experience come together to influence your story. Together it is possible to gain new perspectives on that story and also correct some narratives we told ourselves that are not serving us anymore. Slowing things down is a good start to reframe and identify personal values, patterns and priorities. Working towards a life that feels right for you. I offer short term and crisis interventions as mid term guidance for healing, transition and personal development. Feel free to ask me any questions beforehand.
I am happy to meet you on the way.
