About me
"Are you living or merely surviving?" When I was first asked this question, I struggled to make the distinction. I had successfully relocated to several countries, was perennially active with studies, work, entrepreneurship, social and personal life, all while silently dealing with a chronic illness. But was I successful despite my health, or did I, in part, owe my illness to my "success"?
I specialise in expats / career nomads. Adjusting to a new country is much deeper than just acclimating to new weather or culture. I have helped hundreds of people progress in their careers and personal lives by helping them identify personal obstacles, deep-seated fears, and patterns that no longer serve. Self-compassion and daring to feel whatever is present leads to authentic leadership, connections, and living in the now. Though my own experience helps, I recognise each journey is unique and each individual a universe in themselves. This calls for integrative sessions, that tailor to the person and the moment. You can expect a warm, person to person, confidential, non-judgemental, biopsychosocial and creative space where all is welcome, as it is right now.
I am a Clinical Gestalt Psychotherapist from the Gestalt Institute of Scandinavia, the only institution in Denmark accredited by the European Psychotherapists Association. I also hold an MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) certification from Brown University, fortified by Advanced studies in Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness. I continue to study with a special interest in the intersection between trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and manifestations in the body.
