Life is not what it’s supposed to be.
It is what it is.
The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
Clinical psychologyRecommended for those who need help with diagnosing and treating more complex mental health issues, often involving assessments and evidence-based treatments.
EMDRRecommended for those dealing with trauma who want to process painful memories in a structured way to reduce their emotional impact.
I follow an integrated approach that includes tools and methods from different evidence-based theories, in the CBT area, like ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Sensorimotor therapy as well as Mindfulness-CBT.

I am completing my training in Sensorimotor Therapy, level two, and working with EMDR.

My sessions are structured, and aim to provide you with coping tools that can be used in everyday life. At the same time they can look at past learnings, even traumatic ones, that may still play a role in your present life.

Experience

I worked for seven years in a family counselling center – in Italy – a place for psychological counseling (with adults, teenager or couples).

I worked as Social Counselor, coaching people facing a career change, and in self-help groups with family members of people with disabilities, or parents who have applied for adoptions. I have been a volunteer for years in an help line (suicide hotline).

I have worked with people with different problems: drug and alcohol abuse, psychiatric diagnoses, helpline counseling, refugees, teenagers with family and social problems. Every work experience is an important element of my professional and human training.

I'm a freelance psychologist in Denmark, since 2020.
