As a Gestalt therapist specializing in trauma, I provide a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space for individuals to explore and heal. My approach is rooted in creating a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding, ensuring that my clients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.
My Approach
Client-Centered and Collaborative:
I believe in tailoring the therapeutic process to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Together, we co-create a path for exploration and healing, where you feel empowered to take an active role in your growth.
Focus on the Present Moment:
In Gestalt therapy, we emphasize the here-and-now. By increasing awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, clients gain insight into their patterns and how they influence current experiences. This awareness is the foundation for meaningful change.
Trauma-Informed Care:
Working with trauma requires sensitivity and a deep understanding of its complexities. My approach integrates trauma-sensitive techniques, including elements of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, allowing us to process trauma not only on a cognitive level but also somatically—addressing the body’s role in storing and expressing trauma. Safety and stabilization are always priorities as we navigate these experiences.
Emotional Intelligence and Mind-Body Connection:
I strongly believe in the interplay of emotions and the body, a concept I integrate into my work. Inspired by Daniel Goleman's Emotional Intelligence, I guide clients in developing emotional awareness, self-regulation, and resilience. Together, we explore how emotions manifest in the body and how to release them constructively.
Relational Exploration:
Relationships, whether with others or oneself, are often at the core of my work. By examining relational patterns and dynamics, I help clients better understand how past experiences impact their connections and develop healthier, more fulfilling interactions.
