I offer psychotherapy with a particular focus on what we sense in the body. The 'felt sense' – the immediate bodily expression of emotions, moods, and impulses – is a central part of my work. Our body often remembers and reacts before we think, and through conscious presence with the body, it becomes possible to regulate the nervous system and create emotional change at a deep level.
In a session, we focus on what is most present for you – it could be anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, depression, or relational issues. I integrate various methods depending on your needs and what arises in the room:
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
We explore the emotions you express and what may lie behind them. The focus is on reconnecting with your original needs and meeting them with self-compassion – often in contact with the inner child.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS helps us understand the different parts of your psyche – some protect you, others carry pain. By working with your inner parts, we create insight into patterns and the possibility to heal old wounds.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) & Polyvagal Theory
SE and Polyvagal Theory help us understand how the body reacts to trauma and stress. We work on calming your nervous system, supporting bodily grounding, and dissolving stuck survival responses.
