About me
My name is Cruz and I am a clinical psychologist from Portugal, currently based in Ireland. I am naturally a curious person and as I am eager to learn I've spent the last 10 years studying psychology and some of its many approaches. I've studied Trauma, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry and I'm currently training to be an Existential Psychotherapist. I've been working in a clinical setting for 4 years now, mainly with adults.
I believe that empathy and openness are essential in creating a space where the client feels free to be fully themselves during each session.

I’m passionate about understanding how each person experiences the world. I thrive on walking alongside my clients as we build a path that encourages self-exploration and curiosity about their inner world — without judgment, simply noticing what is present and becoming aware of what drives them.
Developing this awareness is essential for making choices that are truly aligned with one’s own needs and emotions. It allows each person to live more authentically — choosing freely, rather than reacting out of habit or automatic responses.
