I am a 30‑year‑old Black man, born and raised in Brazil. Since 2019, I have been helping people deal with emotional and behavioural issues, using Behavioral Psychology as my framework (and only online since the 2020 coronavirus pandemic).
Today I run two companies: the first connects people with behavioural psychologists like me, and the second creates and shares tips, products, and services to help people with procrastination.
My sessions tend to be structured, insightful, and validating, helping people see that their emotional atmosphere can play a role in their engagement difficulties. Many people come to me with labels they’ve given themselves based on procrastination (such as laziness, lack of self‑confidence, or lack of willpower) but these could not be further from the truth. In reality, people often avoid especially the tasks they care about most, because of the emotional atmosphere surrounding them (fear, guilt, shame, anxiety etc). That’s why, whether in academic settings or in personal daily organization, it’s important to understand and address the emotional circumstances and behavioral difficulties related to procrastination. Both of them.
