"It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime. What better place than here, what better time than now?"
Hi, I’m Giorgio!
I'm a licensed psychologist currently under training to become a licensed psychotherapist from Firenze.
I have experience working with social marginalities, as I started doing the practices required to become licensed psychologist, I got interested in working with homeless people, migrants and other fragile categories. Right after obtaining the license I opened my studio and I started receiving private patients. I prefer to meet in person but I'm currently also working online with my clients.
I'm interested in science, genetics, biology and psychology of course.
My hobbies are playing and listening to music, cooking and mountain trekking.
I like to work building a comfortable space for my clients to express themselves, starting from your request we can work on anything you want. I generally start asking you about the reasons that brought you to the session, then I address a very common but often overlooked question: “How are you?”
My approach relies on the principle of “here and now”, everything we’ll need for the work is already within you, our goal will be to make it available.
The process will require you to talk about your feelings, your thoughts and what you’d like do differently in your life. I’ll be interacting with you, following your trail and asking questions on things that need to be considered more carefully in order to proceed with the therapeutic journey.
I'm currently working as freelance Psychologist and attending the I.G.F. Psychotherapy specialization school in Firenze (IT). Prior to start my work as a freelance, I had the opportunity to work in jails and daily centers as educator/psychologist with social marginalities such as: addicts, migrants, homeless people and mostly people with criminal backgrounds. Besides working for my private patients in the studio, I'm currently fulfilling my specialization practice assisting oncologic patients in the Santa Maria Nuova Hospital of Firenze. My working experiences provided for specific competencies with addictions, trauma and the mourning process, but I'm interested in personal well-beign in all its declinations.
I graduated in psychology with full marks in 2020 in the University of Firenze and became a licensed psychologist in 2022. During the time of my studying I got interested particularly in psychobiology, genetics, neuroscience and cognitive studies. I spent 8 month studying abroad in the U.A.M. in Madrid (Spain) as part of the Erasmus project in my last year of university, I'm currently attending the I.G.F. specialization school in psychotherapy in Firenze.
