Approach

My most important objective is to provide a secure space for people to comfortably share their thoughts and concerns. I am here to listen without judgement and help people make sense of their situation. I am trained in cognitive-behavioural methods (CBT) and traumatherapy. I use these approaches to consider the specific and unique demands and needs of my clients. I focus on strengthening my clients’ existing resources to help them manage their present and future challenges and support people to plan for small, achievable objectives that can generate a chain reaction of positive change.

Education

I am a (post-migrant) doctor and therapist offering coaching and psychological counselling. My focus lies on the support for mental health concerns of BIPOC/postmigrant-identifying individuals, such as coping with race-related stressors, whether current and/or historical, and the effects of experiences of racism and discrimination on mental health. My approach is traumasensitive and LGBTQ+ -affirmative. I work with individuals experiencing different mental health or life challenges, such as trauma/PTSD, racial microaggressions, experiences of discrimination, depressive mood, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, living outside your country of origin, and anxiety/panic attacks. After my medical studies in Germany, I specialised in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Traumatherapy. Additionally, I hold a masters degree in Transcultural Mental Health.
