I am a trauma-informed therapist, offering a compassionate and grounded approach to therapy. My work is rooted in the understanding that our experiences especially those that feel overwhelming or unresolved are not only held in the mind, but also in the body. I support clients in gently exploring these experiences, at a pace that feels safe and manageable, so that healing can unfold in a more integrated and sustainable way.
Alongside my private practice, I work within a cancer support setting, where I accompany individuals facing illness, uncertainty, and profound life changes. This work has deepened my understanding of the emotional and psychological impact of health challenges not only for those directly affected, but also for their families and loved ones. It has also strengthened my ability to stay present with vulnerability, complexity, and the many layers of what it means to be human during difficult times.
In my practice, I often work with individuals experiencing trauma, developmental trauma, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. Many people come to therapy with a strong level of insight, yet still feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift. This is where a NARM and SE, nervous-system-informed approaches can be especially supportive. We begin to notice sensations, responses, and patterns in the body, allowing the nervous system to gradually release held stress and move towards greater regulation and resilience.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and attuned to your individual needs. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and not rushed where we can slow things down and bring curiosity to your experience without judgement. Rather than focusing only on talking through difficulties, we also pay attention to how your system responds in the moment, supporting new ways of experiencing yourself and the world.
I am a registered Psychologist (BPS) counsellor (SGfB), a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and NARM Master Therapist. My work is informed by trauma theory, attachment, and nervous system regulation, and I continue to engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to support my practice.
Whether you are navigating a specific challenge or a more general sense of disconnection or overwhelm, therapy can offer a space to reconnect with yourself, build internal resources, and find a greater sense of steadiness and ease.
