My master’s degree was in mental health and clinical psychology from London South Bank University. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology (HONS) from Taylor’s University and graduated with second-class upper honors. I have been working under supervision since December 2019.
Throughout the last two years, I have trained and worked under close supervision in various environments such as psychiatric clinics and counseling centers. I am keen to always learn and incorporate new skills. I believe that the ongoing reflection of the counselor is essential for the education and professional development of counselors. Currently, I have a supervisor who I meet to make sure I am on the right track. I believe counseling supervision is a fundamental tool that helps the counselor gain confidence and gives them the platform they need to improve their counseling abilities. I have experience working with children, young adults, adults, and elders from different backgrounds in different settings.
I am comfortable conducting sessions in both Arabic and English. I am keen to always learn and incorporate new skills. I believe that the ongoing reflection of the counselor is essential for the education and professional development of counselors. I work with clients who are struggling with adjustment, self-esteem, body image, emotional eating, anxiety, academic stress and separation, and depression.
