Originally from Northern Ireland, I grew up in a culture that was harmonious on the surface but full of secrecy, shame and violence. I learned that people desperately wished to unburden some of their suffering, and that I was good at listening for some reason.
I sought a purpose to help others relieve their suffering through my Psychology Masters, and then a specialism in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I was young entering this career at 24, and over the last 10 years I have been dedicating my working life to offering the most effective environment for individuals to understand themselves and relieve the suffering through change.
I have lived outside of my homeland for almost half of my life, and have recently returned to Scotland following 5 years living in Frankfurt, Germany.
When not working directly, I can be found either reading therapy-related books or engaging in the outdoors somehow, either by hiking, rock-climbing, canoeing or diving.
