As a psychologist and coach, I support you in overcoming challenges in a sustainable way and through your own strengths. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable, safe, and truly seen.
𫶠I stand for EMPATHY | HONESTY | OPENNESS
Welcome, I'm glad you're here!
My name is Saskia, and I am a psychologist and coach. Above all, however, I am a person who listens without judgment. It is important to me to create a space where you feel comfortable, can speak openly, and are welcome with whatever is currently on your mind.
My own journey has not always been easy. Originally from Hanover, Germany, I made the bold decision in 2014 to move to the Netherlands to study psychology. Without family support, while facing financial uncertainty and health challenges, this period of my life was marked by significant change. I also lost my parents at a young age. These (next to some other) experiences have shown me how challenging life can sometimes be, but also how much strength we carry within us, even when we cannot see it ourselves.
Over the years, I have learned that no one has to face everything alone. We all reach our limits at times, struggle with self-doubt, or lose our sense of direction. This is exactly why I am passionate about supporting people on their journey, helping them discover new perspectives, reconnect with their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling life.
Outside of my work, I am a curious, active, and positive person. I love travelling, hiking, and exploring the outdoors by bike or mountain bike. And of course, good food is definitely one of life's pleasures as well.
If you have any questions about me or my background, I would be happy to answer them during a free introductory session or via message.
đ My Approach & Our Journey Together
My work is best described as psychological coaching based on a collaborative and equal partnership. You know your life better than anyone else. Most of the answers already lie within you, even if they may sometimes feel difficult to access.
The goal of psychological coaching is to help you develop your own meaningful and sustainable solutions. Change tends to feel more authentic and has the greatest chance of lasting when it is aligned with your personal values, needs, and beliefs. My role is to support you in gaining clarity, discovering new perspectives, and finding your own path forward.
In our sessions, we will reflect on your situation together, explore unhelpful thought patterns, and develop practical steps that fit your life and circumstances. Depending on your goals and needs, we may work with reflective questions, practical exercises, or alternative perspectives. My aim is not only to help you better understand yourself, but also to turn insights into meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is holistic and draws on a range of evidence-based methods from psychology and coaching, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Positive Psychology. At its core is the balance between thoughts, emotions, and actions. Together, we will work on using your strengths and values more consciously, setting realistic goals, and developing a healthier relationship with the things that lie outside your control.
I also support you in strengthening your resilience, self-efficacy, and cognitive flexibility, helping you navigate challenges with greater confidence and make decisions with more clarity. You determine the pace and direction. I will accompany you along the way with structure, guidance, fresh perspectives, and a supportive, non-judgmental approach.
đ How It Works: Sessions & Frequency
Of course, everything we discuss during our sessions remains strictly confidential. During our conversations, I take notes and can provide you with an action plan afterwards, allowing you to fully focus on the session itself.
The steps and exercises we develop are created together and are ideally based on your own ideas and goals. Often, coaching involves making small changes and taking action between sessions. At the same time, coaching is not a rigid process. Some sessions focus more on concrete action, while others provide space for reflection, processing, and conversation. Both have their place.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes (standard session). If needed, I also offer 80-minute and 25-minute sessions. Since it is completely normal not to feel a connection with every person, I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute introductory session. This gives us the opportunity to answer any questions, discuss expectations, and find out whether we are a good fit to work together. You can find more information under âServicesâ.
The frequency of our sessions is entirely up to you. In the beginning, I usually recommend meeting weekly or every other week to build momentum. Later on, sessions can be spaced further apart depending on your needs. Together, we will find a rhythm that works for you and your lifestyle.
đ Other Important Information: Payment & Cancellations
Please cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, the full session fee will be charged. Coaching fees are not covered by health insurance and must be paid in advance by invoice.
If you still have any questions, feel free to send me a message or book an introductory session. I look forward to hearing from you! đ
