About me
Having gown up in Essen a (medium size) German city in the Ruhrgebiet I ventured into the world studying German literature, Christian theology and inter-faith relations in Bochum, Heidelberg and Wuppertal. My work brought me to Düsseldorf, London, Duisburg, Wuppertal. In London I trained as a psychotherapist. Since 2015/ 2017 I have been working in private practice in Hannover.

As an integrative psychotherapist I am using insights from the different therapeutic schools to meet your needs. From the analytic tradition I am taking the insight how important understanding our past is.
During the process of therapy you will understand deeply engrained ways of thinking and being in world. Through the therapeutic process world you will learn to engage differently with yourself and those around you. Therapy is an opportunity for growth. It is important to pay attention to what is happening on a bodily level.
As someone with a religious background I I am fully aware how beneficial as well as destructive faith can be. I am wiling to stand alongside you when you are looking for meaning but I will not impose my own views onto you.
Many issues may bring you to seek therapy. Movong to a new country can feel very exciting as well as challenging. I am offering short-term work (counselling; 12 - 25 sessions) as well as long term therapy. Sometimes a few session may be necessary to understand what is happening in your life. Long term work is open ended and more in-depth. During the first sessions (1-3) we will assess your needs. Long-term work will be needed for deeper.
Individual Therapy as well counselling works best with weekly sessions at a set time (50 minutes sessions).
