As an integrative psychotherapist I am using insights from the different therapeutic schools to meet your needs. From the analytic (psychodynamic) tradition I am taking the insight how heavily we are influenced by past experiences. During the process of therapy you will understand deeply engrained ways of thinking and being in world. However it is very important to not only talk about the past but also pay attention to what is happening in the here and now, for example on a bodily level. Strong reactions may be an indication of traumatic experiences. Through the therapeutic process world you will learn to engage differently with yourself and those around you. In doing so therapy offers an opportunity for growth. As someone with a religious background I I am fully aware how beneficial as well as destructive faith can be. I am wiling to stand alongside you when you are looking for meaning but I will not impose my own views onto you. I am offering short-term work (counselling; 12 - 25 sessions) as well as long term therapy. Sometimes a few session may be necessary to understand what is happening in your life. Long term work is open ended and more in-depth. During the first sessions (1-3) we will assess your needs. Long-term work will be needed for deeper. Individual Therapy as well counselling works best with weekly sessions at a set time (50 minutes sessions).
