I have a background in the study and practice of social work, which allows me to view clients as a part of multiple systems that impact their lives and functioning. Social work also values acknowledging the ways in which issues of social justice, oppression, diversity, identity, and history impact our clients’ well-being and mental health. In therapy, I utilize a person-centered, blended approach using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR to address your concerns. I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), and I enjoy integrating aspects of yoga, including mindfulness and a mind/body approach, into therapy where appropriate. As an avid reader, I’m committed to continuing grow in my knowledge and skills and integrating new research and best practices into my work.
I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, weight inclusive, and welcoming of clients of all cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds. I enjoy holding space for folks with religious trauma or who have had adverse religious experiences. It is important to me to be continuously learning and evaluating my privilege, practicing from an antiracist and anti-oppressive lens. My pronouns are she/her.
