I work in a trauma-informed and body-oriented way, integrating different methods depending on individual needs. My focus is on supporting clients in:
• Behavioral and emotional challenges (e.g., anxiety, impulsivity, disorganization, tics),
• Attachment and social difficulties (e.g., withdrawal, temper outbursts, difficulties with empathy, separation anxiety)
• Processing traumatic experiences
• Regulating and reorganizing the nervous system
I mainly use elements of body psychotherapy, mindfulness, and parts work. My focus is more on the underlying processes rather than purely on symptom management. Additionally, simple exercises to be practiced at home may be provided.
For concerns involving children, sessions may take place with or without the parent or caregiver, depending on the situation. Both short-term interventions (e.g., for simpler trauma) and longer-term support (e.g., for developmental challenges) are possible. Collaboration with the parents, including their emotional support if needed, is essential, as the child’s nervous system is strongly co-regulated through that of the parents. Additionally, parental beliefs and behaviors can significantly influence the child’s feelings and behavior.
Comprehensive therapeutic support, including experiential methods (e.g., body- and imagination-based approaches), is available for individuals from around age 13 onward. The approach is individually tailored and can be supported by an open, curious attitude toward one’s inner experiences, with language used as an integral part of the therapeutic process.
