I am a trained psychologist with a Cand.Psych. degree and a solid background in clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and psychological research. I have experience running my own private practice, where I supported clients with trauma, stress, and mental health challenges using evidence-based therapeutic methods. My approach is rooted in active listening, collaboration, and creating a safe space where clients feel heard and supported.
In addition to my clinical work, I have facilitated support groups, helping individuals navigate difficult life circumstances through shared understanding and practical strategies. I also bring experience from research and teaching roles, which have shaped my ability to integrate theory with practice and deliver thoughtful, tailored interventions for each client.
I am committed to helping people develop resilience, find clarity, and improve their overall well-being. Sessions with me are warm, structured, and focused on empowering clients to better understand themselves and create meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, structured, and compassionate. I integrate evidence-based methods to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing on Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy.
MCT helps clients notice and change unhelpful thinking patterns, reducing worry and rumination that often maintain distress. CBT allows us to explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, giving clients practical tools to challenge unhelpful beliefs and build healthier coping strategies.
I also use a narrative approach to help clients make sense of their experiences and re-author their personal stories in ways that promote resilience and meaning. Sessions are collaborative and goal-oriented, offering a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can gain insight, practice new skills, and work toward lasting change.
