Life is, well, complicated. Therapy allows us to better understand ourselves and the world around us. The insights we gain can allow us to feel happier and more fulfilled. You don't have to do this alone.
I have been a therapist in the United States for over 25 years. I've worked with individuals experiencing everything from mild stress to schizophrenia.
In addition to being a therapist myself, I have taught, trained and supervised graduate students, therapists-in-training and experienced therapists. I continuously seek out opportunities to learn how I, too, can become a better therapist.
While I have always lived in the United States (and therefore a native English speaker), I have been a life-long, world traveler. Learning about other people and their cultures is one of my passions.
I've worked with many people and therefore understand each person is an individual who has their own, special, story. My training and experience have taught me that no one therapeutic approach fits everyone. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy wherein sessions are tailored to the individual.
I am laid-back, open-minded and always interested in learning how to connect to clients in the right way. I also believe finding humor in life is important. In order to find joy we have to learn how to laugh!
