The initial sessions focus on assessing your struggles, needs and therapy expectations to identify the best approach for you.
In a psychodynamic approach, I create space for you to freely share your thoughts, feelings, dreams, fantasies, and memories. I see you as the expert of your own life. I am here to walk beside you, offering insight, reflection, and guidance as needed. Together, we explore their deeper meaning, looking beyond the symptoms that brought you to therapy to uncover their roots and address what remains unexpressed. We also examine recurring relational patterns in your life, their connection to your early experiences, and how they are reflected in the therapeutic relationship.
Another approach I use is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This approach combines acceptance and mindfulness with actions rooted in personal values, fostering psychological flexibility. We work on accepting inner experiences rather than fighting or avoiding them, while also clarifying what truly matters.
