I'm a clinical psychologist with a psychoanalytical orientation founded particularly on the works of Freud and Lacan, in practice since 2017.
After graduating from Boston University School of Management I worked in finance in Boston and Wall Street for several years when came a point where I decided to take on psychology around 2010.
I started my career with an interest in contemporary approaches to psychotherapy and took extensive training from renowned scholars and practitioners. It is fair to say I first earned my speciality in an eclectic/holistic approach. However as I settled down in my own practice I started focusing on Lacanian psychoanalysis.
Besides private practice I translate, teach in universities and ran an earthquake-response project in 2023. Also, I’m a part of “Atelier Initiative”, which is a recently-found and developing Lacanian area, founded by psychoanalyst Dr. Özge Soysal, in Turkey. The Turkish-only website can be found at: inisiyatifatolye.com.

I work with Lacanian psychoanalysis which is a highly custom-tailored approach to get to the bottom of the problems a patient may be facing. It is a process of uncovering subjectivity and finding a more satisfactory response to the questions, problems, conflicts and in general to the whole existence of one’s own. It is a highly personal space for one to develop and discover whatever time and resources that may be necessary. I believe it is the only way to create a sustainable and satisfactory solution to the suffering of the patient.
Throughout my career I worked with various reputable NGOS and organizations as a therapist, or a coordinator. These include Tarlabaşı Community Center and Yeldeğirmeni Child and Youth Center in Istanbul; Çankaya University Psychology Department, 17 May Association, and TIHV (Human Rights Foundation of Turkey) in Ankara.
