I am a psychotherapist living in Turkey. I provide therapy services in Turkish and Arabic. My job is to try to understand the underlying reasons for the difficulties individuals experience in continuing their lives, to think about the family dynamics hidden in childhood memories and their impact on the individual, to observe the impact of unconscious processes and to use them as a force for change by evaluating them in cooperation with the patient. I have 7 years of experience working with Turkish, Syrian, Lebanese and Iraqi adults and adolescents. I took part in United Nations projects to support immigrants and refugees.
I have experience working on issues such as the difficulties immigrants experience in adjusting to the country they immigrate to, the anxiety caused by trying to hold on to life in a new country, and language problems.
I have training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential psychotherapy and Lacanian psychoanalysis. Also, my supervision continues.
In my therapy approach, the difficulties experienced by the individual in adulthood are tried to be understood by observing his childhood and adolescence experiences. With the free association method, the person is expected to tell everything that comes to his mind without thinking that he will be judged. This includes the individual's dreams. The details of the individual's unique story are considered and the aim is to discover his/her unique desires.
