Born and raised in Istanbul and working internationally, I am a Psychologist and European Accredited EMDR therapist offering therapy in English and Turkish, mainly online. With over 5 years of experience supporting adults, adolescents, children and families, I bring an integrative perspective that is both professional and deeply human. Alongside my clinical practice, I also create psycho-educational trainings and contribute to research on EMDR and therapy, which keeps my work both grounded and innovative.
🫶🏻 As your therapist, I can support you with: I help clients struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or adjustment difficulties. I also support expats navigating transitions abroad, parents seeking healthier family dynamics, and individuals coping with grief, loss, OCD, phobias, or psychosomatic difficulties. Together, we will focus on understanding the root causes, building coping strategies, and creating the conditions for resilience and meaningful change.
🛋️ How is therapy with me: My style is warm, collaborative and non-judgmental. EMDR therapy often helps clients experience faster and long-lasting relief compared to traditional approaches, but sessions also include integrative and relational work to match your unique needs. Therapy with me is not just about symptom relief — it’s about finding clarity, inner calm and a deeper connection to yourself, so that you can step into life with greater confidence, balance and authenticity.
🤝 My therapeutic style
As a European Accredited EMDR therapist and Psychologist, my main approach is EMDR, which offers a structured yet deeply flexible way of processing difficult experiences, trauma and emotional blocks. EMDR helps to reprocess disturbing memories and reduce their emotional impact, so that you can feel calmer, safer and more in control of your present life.
At the same time, I don’t believe therapy is “one-size-fits-all.” I integrate elements from attachment-based work, mindfulness, and relational approaches to strengthen emotional regulation, build resilience and enhance self-awareness. For children and families, I also draw from creative therapies such as Sandtray, Art Therapy and Theraplay-based activities, offering a safe and engaging space for growth. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, balancing structure with flexibility so that the process feels both effective and supportive.
📆 Recommended session frequency
I usually recommend starting with weekly sessions to create continuity and momentum. Depending on your progress and needs, we can move towards fortnightly or monthly check-ins. Some clients choose to come back for occasional sessions during stressful life transitions — you will always be welcome. When the time comes to conclude, we wrap up with a closing session to reflect on your journey and prepare you for moving forward on your own.
📃 Practical details – payment & cancellation
Sessions are privately paid and not covered by national health insurance, though some private health insurers may provide reimbursement — please check with your provider. To confirm your booking, pre-payment is required. If you need to cancel or reschedule, kindly give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full fee.
