About me

My clinical background has been shaped by work in diverse settings, including NGOs in the field of migration, where I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults through individual therapy, group work, and psychoeducational activities.

Alongside my academic training, I have completed extensive psychotherapy and trauma-focused trainings, as well as long-term individual and group supervision. My clinical work is grounded in psychodynamic and supportive dynamic psychotherapy.

In my practice, I frequently work with concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, relational difficulties, loss and grief, trauma, migration-related challenges, emotional awareness, self-worth, and burnout. I offer both online and in-person psychotherapy and aim to provide a thoughtful, contained, and collaborative therapeutic space.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on understanding how unconscious processes, early relational experiences, and recurring emotional patterns influence an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present. Therapy aims to make these patterns more visible and meaningful within a safe and reflective therapeutic relationship.

The process involves exploring emotions, internal conflicts, defenses, and relational dynamics as they emerge both in daily life and within the therapeutic setting. Through this exploration, individuals can develop greater self-awareness, emotional insight, and psychological flexibility, supporting more authentic and adaptive ways of relating to themselves and others.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is commonly used in working with concerns such as depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, identity-related struggles, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, trauma, and long-standing emotional patterns. The pace and depth of the therapy are collaboratively shaped, allowing the process to unfold in a way that feels containing and respectful of the individual’s capacities.

Supportive Psychotherapy

Supportive psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach in which the therapist and client work collaboratively toward clearly defined and realistic goals. Although it is grounded in psychodynamic theory, it incorporates techniques from different psychotherapy approaches in an eclectic manner, depending on the client’s needs.

The aims of supportive psychotherapy include alleviating symptoms, reducing the risk of relapse, restoring and strengthening self-esteem, functioning, and adaptive capacities, and supporting individuals in coping with current life challenges such as loss, illness, or trauma. Throughout the therapeutic process, interventions such as psychoeducation, enhancing awareness, encouragement, guidance, and the development of coping skills are commonly used.

Supportive psychotherapy is widely applied and has been shown to be particularly effective in the treatment of depressive conditions, phobias, panic attacks and panic disorder, social anxiety, psychosomatic complaints, and personality-related difficulties. It is also frequently used in working with traumatic experiences, grief and bereavement, chronic and acute medical conditions, and emotional distress related to severe or terminal illness.

Stuck? Join the club. We stay stuck in bad places. We gingerly touch our scars, defend ourselves. We try not to feel our fears and end up not feeling ourselves. Ignore the knot in the stomach. It will go away. Chin up.
