In the therapeutic journey, it is important to remember that we are not alone. Instead we are two travellers, side by side, exploring the conscious and the unconscious through communication.

About me

Two of my favourite quotes are by Ernest Hemingway and Oscar Wilde. The first one is "we're stronger in the places that we've been broken" and the second one is "be yourself, everyone else is already taken" respectively. I believe both of them are integral parts of a therapeutic continuum whereby our early experiences although being the cornerstone in the establishment of a self, there are also the ones that if we work on and reconstruct them, they can lead to our true self and his/her voice. I am a Greek-English speaking Psychologist from Greece, located in the Northern suburbs of Athens. I have studied and lived abroad for many years (UK & Berlin), which I consider a unique experience in life. This experience entails a state of 'seeing and being seen' which gives the individual the opportunity for exploration, openness, interaction and reflection and contributes to integrative psychic development. Just as in this social environment, we experience emotions and internal conflicts arising from the state of 'seing and being seen' and everything it entails, the same occurs also in the therapeutic environment but with the critical difference that the therapeutic context is a safe space, an 'esoteric' space where we are "looking in and out" together.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.
Psychodynamic therapyRecommended for those looking to explore their emotions deeply and understand how past experiences shape their present life.
My purpose is to help individuals cope with their emotional and psychological needs. My approach is psychodynamic/psychoanalytic and more specifically linked to how we relate to others based on our experiences from early childhood. In addition, I am dedicated to the experience of trauma, both in its role and impact on an individual's life as well as within the context of chronic illness. This is why I also incorporate in my therapeutic approach the psychosomatic perspective.
