Having fully recovered from severe DPDR, I understand this terrifying terrain deeply. As a Gestalt therapist, I help you break out of the fog of dissociation and safely return to your body and reality.
If you are struggling with high anxiety, I can support you on your journey to recovery and share insights I have gained from my own experience and from working as a therapist with clients experiencing high anxiety.
Do you feel like you are looking at your own life through a thick pane of glass? Like you are watching a movie of yourself, or that your own hands, voice, and reflections feel strange to you?
Depersonalization and derealization (DPDR) can make you feel completely isolated, trapped in existential panic, and terrified that you are permanently losing your grip on reality. It often comes with exhausting obsessive or intrusive thoughts—constantly checking your mind, wondering if you are going crazy, or questioning the nature of reality itself. You may have spent countless hours wondering if you will ever feel “normal” again.
I have personally navigated and fully recovered from severe DPDR in my own life. I know exactly how terrifying this terrain can be because I walked through it myself for years. I spent years trapped in that exact same fog, and I am here to tell you that I fully recovered—and you can too. I bring this lived understanding into our work together—as a professional practitioner who deeply understands the pathway out of the fog and back into normal life.
Because reaching out can feel overwhelming when your nervous system is exhausted, I make getting started completely effortless. You can book a free, 15-minute online consultation with me. It is a casual, zero-pressure space where we can connect, chat about what you are experiencing, and see if we are a good fit to work together. Our ultimate goal is a genuine return to yourself:
Waking up and feeling fully connected to your body again.
Looking at the world and having it feel vivid, sharp, and real.
Quieting the constant existential checking so your mind can finally rest.
Moving from a state of frozen survival into active engagement with life again.
I personally believe that full recovery is entirely possible, and that you can reconnect deeply with yourself and your life again. The good news is that what you learn through your recovery from DPDR will equip you to handle life better in general and truly thrive; recovery is just the beginning.
Many well-meaning practitioners treat DPDR as “just anxiety,” which can leave people feeling misunderstood.
DPDR is a highly specific protective response—your nervous system disconnects and numbs itself in reaction to overwhelming anxiety and chronic internal stress. Because I have both professional Gestalt training and personal lived experience with DPDR, we can quickly identify the exact patterns and shifts needed to support your recovery.
We are not guessing. We work with a clear understanding of how dissociation functions, including the bizarre somatic sensations, intrusive thoughts, hyper-awareness, and existential fear that often come with it.
Clarity From the Very First Steps In our first sessions, we will begin mapping out your specific anxiety patterns and checking loops so you can understand why your mind and nervous system are responding this way. Many clients experience significant relief simply from finally having a clear and accurate framework for what they are experiencing. Removing the mystery is often one of the first major steps out of the fog.
An Aligned, Supportive Approach When you are already exhausted by intrusive thoughts and high anxiety, the idea of traditional, heavy therapy can feel overwhelming. Our online work is structured to meet your nervous system where it is right now.
Instead of endlessly analyzing the past, we focus primarily on the present—working practically, compassionately, and directly with the exact leverage points that are keeping you stuck today.
If you are ready to stop feeling like a passive observer of your life and begin reconnecting with yourself, let’s connect.
To make getting started completely stress-free, I offer a free 15-minute online consultation. There is no financial commitment and no pressure—it is simply a safe, casual space for you to share what you are experiencing, ask questions, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for you.
Select a convenient time from my calendar below, and let’s begin stepping out of the fog of DPDR together.
Since 2022, my clinical focus has been dedicated to relational and process-oriented therapy, specializing heavily in high-anxiety states, intrusive thought patterns, and chronic panic loops.
My foundational understanding of the human body began prior to my psychotherapy training, working as a Personal Trainer. Over those years, I focused on helping individuals rebuild healthier, embodied relationships with their physical selves. This background provided me with a deep, practical understanding of somatic patterns, physiology, and the profound connection between the mind and the body.
Today, I integrate this somatic perspective with clinical psychotherapy and practical nervous system regulation. My work is dedicated to helping clients safely navigate the physical and emotional loops of chronic dissociation, gently anchoring them back into reality.
