The main focus of the Gestalt approach is your feelings as they arise in contact with me, here and now. In our work, you will be able to become aware of and accept different feelings, even difficult ones, recognize and distinguish your desires and needs. This gives rise to a new experience — the experience of perceiving yourself as whole and aware.
I also specialize in life-stage crises and trauma. I can be present with you and support you through these difficult moments in your life or in the lives of your loved ones.
I work extensively with codependent relationships — romantic as well as parent-child dynamics. I have personal experience of leaving such destructive relationships and can be a reliable support for you through these experiences. With me, you can be yourself, and I will help you notice what you may not yet see. This will deepen and expand your understanding of yourself.
The first session is always exciting. I encourage my clients to listen to themselves and move at their own pace. Taking time to get acquainted, my questions and curiosity about you can provide support and reduce anxiety. We outline and discuss your request, if it is already defined.
For effective work on your request, I recommend 10 sessions, with the possibility to continue and deepen our therapeutic relationship.
Sessions take the form of a conversation. When appropriate, I may suggest a psychological experiment or test to gain greater awareness of how things work for you personally. Homework assignments are also possible for more thorough reflection.
The recommended frequency of sessions is once a week.
