Why do we repeat certain behaviors? Why is it suddenly so difficult for us to fall asleep? Why can't we say no? Why do we choose the same type of partners again and again? Why do we feel lonely despite being surrounded by people? Among other things, these are some of the questions that might lead a person to see a psychologist. From an anthropological perspective, human beings are inexorably confronted with the topics listed above, namely death, loneliness, love, and body image.
In order to put these problems into words and eliminate the symptoms, psychotherapy is a way for us to understand the story underlying our symptoms and suffering. My clinical work is aligned with evidence-based treatments. Evidence-based treatments are supported by scientific studies that have met the rigorous standards within the medical community.
The treatments and interventions developed by a clinical psychologist are tailor-made, as each person requires a different level of care. This means that the type of treatment and objectives of the treatment will be discussed to the patient after a psychodiagnosis has been made.
