Hello, my name is Anna. I am a psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. I am currently training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist at SFU Berlin, specializing in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and I am also training as a systemic counsellor.
I would describe myself as empathetic, open-minded and curious. I have a genuine interest in people and their individual stories, and I truly value working together to better understand thoughts, emotions and experiences. At the same time, I approach my work in a structured and thoughtful way.
It is important to me to reflect critically on psychotherapy and counselling, including questions of power, perspective and context. I try to stay aware of the fact that learning is an ongoing process, both personally and professionally.
Outside of my work, I enjoy playing basketball, spending time with friends in cafés or parks, and being part of a reading group.
My work is mainly grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which I chose because it offers a wide range of practical, evidence-based tools that can support meaningful change. At the same time, I decided to train in systemic counselling because I value its focus on relationships, context and the broader systems we are part of.
Overall, I believe in an integrative approach. This means combining different methods and perspectives in a way that fits your individual needs, rather than applying a single fixed model.
I aim to work in a collaborative, respectful and discrimination-sensitive way, while staying aware of my own position as a white cisgender woman within the therapeutic context.
In our work together, I focus on your goals, concerns and needs. I see clients as experts on their own lives, and my role as part of a working alliance in which we explore together what changes feel important and how they can be approached.
I also see therapy as a space that remains open to reflection and feedback. I am continuously learning, and I appreciate thoughts, questions and critical perspectives as part of that process.
