I work with adults experiencing emotional overwhelm, anxiety or intense emotions that feel difficult to manage, as well as repetitive relationship patterns. Integrative psychotherapy in Lisbon or online (EN/PT/FR/ES).
I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Lisbon, working in private practice with adults in person and online. Therapy offers a space to slow down and understand what you are experiencing, particularly when emotions feel intense or difficult to manage. Together, we work to recognise recurring emotional and relational patterns, make sense of your reactions, and develop the capacity to stay with emotional experience without being taken over by it. Over time, this can support greater stability, clarity and flexibility in how you relate to yourself and others. Outside of my clinical work, I engage in practices such as movement, time in nature, and meditation.
My work integrates psychodynamic understanding, somatic awareness and emotion regulation.
In therapy, we focus on recognising emotional and relational patterns as they emerge, understanding how they develop, and working with the emotional responses that accompany them. This includes developing the capacity to stay with intense emotional states without being taken over by them.
When helpful, I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), particularly to support emotional regulation, navigate difficult moments, and develop more effective ways of responding in relationships.
The therapeutic process unfolds at a pace that allows for both exploration and integration, supporting greater stability, clarity and flexibility over time.
