About me

I am a Jungian psychoanalyst (Diploma Candidate, CG Jung Institute Zürich), professional development coach (ICF ACC), consultant and facilitator, with a strong desire to help inspire and empower individuals to become who they are meant to be in the world. I have a particular specialism in Jungian dreamwork and I run regular dreamwork groups in addition to my private practice work. I also have a strong interest in psychology related to expatriation, having carried out a qualitative research project on the subject as part of a master's degree in 2021 and having personally lived abroad for most of my adult life. Prior to becoming a coach and a psychoanalyst, I had a first career as a corporate and finance lawyer in London, Singapore and Zurich, and I have over 15 years of working experience with multinational organisations and global law firms, including management and leadership experience. Alongside my professional work, I am a co-founder and co-organiser of events for Lisbon Therapists & Coaches Connect, a community of over 150 inspiring female coaches, psychotherapists, healers and other helping professionals based in the Lisbon area. I am also regularly involved in pro bono and volunteer initiatives, which has most recently included providing emotional support to immigrants at the Lisbon Project in Portugal. I am originally from the UK and have been based in Portugal since 2022, where I run a hybrid Jungian psychoanalytic and coaching practice, working with both individuals and corporates based in the UK, Europe and APAC. In addition to native English, I speak French (fluent), Italian (advanced), Portuguese (intermediate) and German (intermediate). Approach

Treatment Approaches
CoachingRecommended for those who want support and motivation to achieve personal or professional goals, often with a structured, goal-oriented approach.
Jungian therapyRecommended for those interested in diving deep into their unconscious mind to better understand themselves and grow emotionally.
PsychoanalysisRecommended for those who want to explore how their unconscious mind and early experiences affect their current behaviors and feelings.
My overall approach blends a Jungian psychoanalytic approach, psychodynamics, coaching techniques and somatic awareness, with deep, inherent empathy and intuition. In both psychoanalytic and coaching work, I focus on helping individuals to develop increased self-awareness and understanding of their unconscious personality traits, mindsets, behaviours and patterns - so that these can be integrated, inform conscious attitudes and help to manage life's challenges. This can involve Jungian dreamwork and other Jungian creative approaches (e.g. drawing, painting, music, movement and active imagination), for those who are comfortable with this. It is my strong hope and wish that, through their own psychological development and through gaining greater fulfilment in life, the individuals I work with will in turn be able to play more positive roles within their families, organisations and communities in general. I also seek to empower individuals to be able to make lasting, sustainable changes, without the need for ongoing support. In psychanalytic engagements, I principally support individuals in relation to: - dreamwork; - life and career transitions; - relationship challenges; - balancing work and parenthood; - emotions related to living abroad; - fertility and pregnancy loss; - depression; - anxiety; - stress - low confidence; - general personal or professional development. In coaching engagements, typical topics include: - exploring and implementing career transitions, including moving into leadership or managerial roles, returns from parental leave and complete career changes; - managing and improving working relationships, including with stakeholders, within teams and people management; - working through difficulties with low confidence or lack of career direction and motivation; - improving stress, time and anxiety management; - managing challenges related to an expatriation or repatriation; - general professional and communication skills development. Engagements can also incorporate psychometric and personality assessment tools where helpful, including: - personality typology (Jung's typology and MBTI); - Jung's Word Association Test; - Hogan personality assessments.
