About me

Hello, I'm Dilya, a gestalt therapist and couples counsellor with PhD and diverse international background. Born in Russia to a Bashkir-Tatar family, my journey brought me to the Netherlands at 25, where I first persued my scientific career and subsequently completed a rigorous 5-year professional psychotherapy training. Since I had moved abroad, I’ve navigated the same life challenges many of my clients face: career shifts, the complexities of relationships, and the joys and trials of parenthood. I am particularly passionate about working with relationships, couples issues, sexuality, and life challenges faced by expats. Having personal experience with anxiety, depression, and burnout, I offer support to help you find a way forward. You are welcome to start from a free intro session to get to know me and my approach.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
Gestalt therapyRecommended for those who want to focus on the present and take responsibility for their feelings and actions to promote personal growth.
GSRD (Gender, Sexuality & Relationship Diversity) TherapyRecommended for those seeking affirmative support and guidance while navigating the complexities of identity, sexuality, and relationships.
Integrative therapy Recommended for those who prefer a flexible approach that combines different therapies to meet their unique needs.
I bridge the world of scientific insight and human connection. As an ex-researcher, I naturally see the intricate, systemic patterns that shape us, but I believe those patterns are best explored with warmth and curiosity. By combining neuroscience with gestalt therapy, we look at how your past has shaped your nervous system’s unique rhythm. Our goal is to uncover those hidden dynamics together, transforming your 'survival' habits into a conscious and resilient way of life. In a world that never stops shifting, my goal is to help you (re)discover your own steady ground. I offer a space where growth can happen safely—especially in those moments where things feel most fragile. If you are ready to explore what is possible, I would be happy to navigate that path with you. I help my clients to navigate a wide range of challenges, including relationship issues (communication, attachment, divorce, separation, sexuality), life transitions (emigration, midlife crisis, career changes, etc), trauma and loss (family-of-origin traumas, grief and loss), and work-life balance
