I am a New York licensed psychotherapist practicing internationally.
My mission is to assist those in recovery looking to make profound and lasting changes in their lives.
I work collaboratively with adults, couples and adolescents to overcome a variety of trauma and stress related issues including depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, parental enmeshment and emotional incest, substance use and all types of addiction. My experience expands to facilitating workshops on intimacy and relationships, family of origin trauma, emotional and sexual abuse in a variety of settings in both the US and Europe.
A pillar of my practice is supporting men in recovery, especially those with a desire to overcome porn, sex and love addiction and the childhood trauma underneath it. This focus includes the journey to healthy and mature masculinity through supporting their life vision, partnerships and parenting. I am a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist) candidate in training.
This reflects my personal journey of growing up in an alcoholic home and surviving emotional incest and enmeshment. I have been in twelve-step addiction recovery since 2002. While working as a creative director in New York, I began facilitating recovery workshops on the side for many years. As my passion for this work grew, I decided to switch careers, get a master’s degree and become a therapist full-time. I am deeply committed to my own practice and growth and have an abiding interest in somatic and experiential methodologies that foster emotional and spiritual transformation.
I utilize a combination of mind and body centered therapies, from CBT and psychodynamic to somatic and emotional release work, tailoring an approach best suited to each client’s needs.
I guide clients through a process, both intuitive and structured, of processing the neglect, abuse or trauma they have survived in order to access their true, authentic selves and live a more vibrant and fully lived life.
I practice online internationally and practice in-person in New York and Milan. For those seeking reimbursement from US insurance, I can provide you with the documentation needed and assist in this process.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University in Boston and a B.A. in Modern Culture & Media from Brown University.
