As a MD and psychiatrist, I possess a "broad view" of mental health. While I focus on the role of the brain in the development of mental disorders, I also consider mental disorders also in their mental, social, psychological, and subjective components. My tools are the latest scientific evidence, my experience, and the capacity to observe and listen to each single patient and his or her needs.
My goal is to understand every individual patient and the causes of their suffering, being them cerebral, psychological or environmental. Only then I can plan a specific and effective treatment plan which goes to the actual causes of the problem, to then solve them (this is the only way). I then share my diagnosis and plan with the patient to ensure maximal collaboration and effectiveness. I pay attention to what works, and doesn't, with one only goal: restoring my patients' well-being.
