About me

My website: https://www.praxis-dr-rinas.com/

Hello and welcome! My name is Raven (she/her). I’m originally from Canada and have called Munich home since 2016. I hold a PhD in Psychology, certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a license to practice psychotherapy in Germany (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie). My background combines psychology research with hands-on experience in mental health and community settings.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, and the impact of difficult past experiences. Therapy provides a space to better understand what you're going through, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of responding to life's challenges.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. My approach is person-centred and tailored to each client's unique experiences, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

We'll begin with a free 20-minute introductory session to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether we're a good fit. Full-length sessions are 50 minutes and can be arranged weekly, bi-weekly, or at a frequency that best suits your needs.

Experience

I practice in Munich as a therapist, offering psychotherapy in English both in person and online. Before this, I worked as a university lecturer and researcher in psychology while also gaining hands-on experience in non-profit and community-based mental health organizations.
