About me

My website: https://www.praxis-dr-rinas.com/

Hello and welcome! My name is Raven (she/her). I’m originally from Canada and have called Munich home since 2016. I hold a PhD in Psychology, certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a license to practice psychotherapy in Germany (Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie). My background combines psychology research with hands-on experience in mental health and community settings.

Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or carrying the weight of difficult past experiences, I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space to share your story. Together, we’ll work through challenges and build tools to support both healing and personal growth, helping you create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Approach

Treatment Approaches
ACT: Acceptance and Commitment TherapyRecommended for those who want to stop fighting negative thoughts and learn how to live with more acceptance and focus on what really matters in life.
CBT: Cognitive behavioral therapyRecommended for those looking for practical support and accountability to change unhelpful thinking and behaviors.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. When you feel safe, understood, and supported, it becomes possible to explore challenges openly and create meaningful change.

In our work, I provide a non-judgmental space where you can reflect on past and present experiences and find practical strategies you can apply in daily life. I draw on evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

We’ll begin with an initial session to get to know each other and clarify what brings you here. Many clients prefer weekly or bi-weekly 50-minute sessions — sometimes for a shorter period (8–12 sessions), and sometimes longer-term, depending on their needs.

Experience

I practice in Munich as a therapist, offering psychotherapy in English both in person and online. Before this, I worked as a university lecturer and researcher in psychology while also gaining hands-on experience in non-profit and community-based mental health organizations.
