I'm a trained clinical psychologist practicing in Ottawa, Canada. I have been practicing with a variety of clienteles including different cultures, various psychopathology (e.g., PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use, borderline personality disorder) and different settings (e.g., hospital, detention centre, medical clinic, private practice). I am trained in individual, couple and group therapies.
In my practice, I take an eclectic approach whereas I am using elements of the cognitive behavioural (e.g., behaviourism, 2nd wave CBT, Action and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), humanist (e.g., Emotion-Focused Therapy), psychodynamic and mindfulness therapies. I believe that using multiple approaches allows me to adapt to my clients by choosing the interventions that speak to them. I consider psychotherapy as a collaborative work between my clients and myself. In my work, I aim to help my clients to better understand, communicate, and manage their emotions in a safe, non-judging environment. I also aim at helping my clients to get a better understanding of how their past may have had an impact on their present difficulties
