I am an existential and CBT psychologist based in Paris with over five years of experience, helping clients worldwide build confidence, emotional balance, and self-awareness through an integrative mind–body approach.
My name is Maria, and I’m an experienced psychologist with a deep passion for helping people create meaningful, confident, and balanced lives. For over five years, I’ve been working with clients across the world — guiding them through personal and professional challenges with empathy, clarity, and practical results.
Originally trained in financial management, I later followed my true calling and earned a Master’s degree in Existential Psychology. This unique background allows me to combine a structured, goal-oriented approach with profound emotional insight.
For several years, I provided both in-person and online therapy in Russia, and since moving to Paris, I’ve focused on online consultations — making it easy for clients from different countries and cultures to access support wherever they are.
I currently live in Paris with my partner and stepson. In my free time, I love immersing myself in cinema and theatre — from the emotional depth of Lars von Trier and the wit of Woody Allen to the unique storytelling of Paul Thomas Anderson and Jafar Panahi. I’m passionate about creativity in all its forms — art, books, and meaningful conversations with friends from around the world keep my perspective open and my work deeply human.
Having gone through the experience of immigration myself, I understand the complexity of adaptation and transformation it brings — both challenging and enriching. This personal journey has strengthened my ability to support clients through periods of change, uncertainty, and self-discovery.
I dedicate a lot of time to exploring the connection between body, mind, and psyche. Through Pilates, yoga, and various relaxation and grounding techniques, I cultivate balance and resilience — qualities I aim to share and foster in my therapeutic work as well.
My primary goal as a therapist is to help clients reach a state of inner balance and emotional clarity, while fostering meaningful personal growth. I believe that no single method fits everyone, and that an integrative approach — combining several evidence-based modalities — allows me to adapt to each person’s unique story and needs.
My main therapeutic framework is Existential Analysis, a humanistic and deeply personal approach founded by Alfried Längle, a direct student of Viktor Frankl, the creator of logotherapy. Existential Analysis explores what makes life truly meaningful for each individual — helping clients reconnect with themselves, their values, and their sense of freedom and responsibility.
Alongside this foundation, I also work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, and I integrate methods from body-oriented therapy, focusing, and art therapy to deepen emotional awareness and support the connection between body and psyche.
The core principles that guide my work are:
Confidentiality – I am a member of the Existential-Analytical Psychologists Association and strictly follow its ethical standards.
Care and Empathy – I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves openly.
Respect – I honor each person’s experiences, emotions, and pace of growth.
During sessions, I use a variety of techniques — from guided reflection and dialogue to gentle body-based awareness practices and role exploration. At times, I may suggest psychological assessments or reflective exercises between sessions to support deeper insight, though participation is always optional.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you build resilience, confidence, and a more authentic connection with yourself and others.
