I grew up in South Africa, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy, before moving to Europe to pursue further studies. I recently completed my Master’s in Counselling and School Psychology, during which I gained extensive practical experience in both individual, school, and group counselling settings. My training ranged from working with children in schools to supporting clients through personal challenges. These experiences allowed me to apply evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy while developing a compassionate and client-focused style.
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology, where my research focuses on emotion regulation — a central aspect of mental well-being. This work deepens my understanding of how people cope with challenges and how therapeutic strategies can help individuals build resilience, reduce distress, and improve relationships. I have a particular passion for counselling and cognitive psychology and I aim to combine academic knowledge, practical skills, and personal insight to support clients in navigating psychological struggles.
I believe that therapy is a safe space where people can better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and develop tools for growth. My international background, diverse training, and ongoing research give me a broad perspective that I bring into each session. Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, my goal is to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive change.
My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing on evidence-based approaches while remaining flexible to each client’s unique needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy, but I also incorporate techniques from other modalities when they may be helpful, such as mindfulness practices and solution-focused strategies. I believe that no two individuals are the same, and my role is to adapt the therapeutic process so that it feels supportive, meaningful, and effective for each person I work with.
At the core of my approach is empathy and collaboration. I see therapy as a partnership where the client is the expert in their own life, and my role is to help them explore, reflect, and develop tools to navigate their challenges. I aim to create a space where clients feel truly heard and respected, free of judgment, and able to explore both struggles and strengths. Whether it’s working through anxiety, navigating relationships, coping with stress, or building self-awareness, I strive to provide a safe and constructive environment.
Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to better understand themselves, cultivate resilience, and live with greater clarity and confidence. I believe therapy can be a transformative journey, and I feel privileged to support individuals, adolescents, and families as they take steps toward growth and healing.
